Kutch Bhunga Deluxe takes this concept a step further with an 8-sided octagonal design version, thereby reducing the external wall surface area compared to the square architecture seen in urban areas, minimising heat loss and gain. The roof comprises wooden slats with fibreglass above for waterproofing (a concession to modern life) topped off with grass. Similarly, the walls comprise bamboo strung together with grass and layered with cow dung and clay.
The Kutch Bhunga, Deluxe Octagonal version is an even more spacious residential option with twin mud and grass cottages of 400 square feet each. An open to sky, 86 square feet integrated bathroom has been provided at the rear of the unit.
